Spring

Spring on Invercauld Estate
Spring often comes late to the Highlands. Many of the upper slopes of the hills are still covered with snow. The early running salmon can be seen on the Estates fishing beats. The gamekeepers will be burning heather which helps provide a balanced range of habitat for many moorland birds and creatures. An annual red deer count, or census, will be taken to help determine the size of the herd.

Salmon Fishing >
The Salmon fishing season commences with the spring run. Many of the low ground walks are now free of snow, but the high ground Munro baggers will need to be equipped for a Winters day.

Spring Breaks
With warmer and longer days thoughts turn to spring weddings and short breaks for which many opportunities abound at Invercauld.
