Located at the Upper Dee catchment within the Cairngorm mountains in North East Scotland and covering an area of approximately 43,600 hectares (108,000 acres). The Estate is managed as a sporting Estate with income derived from stalking, shooting, forestry, agriculture, tourism, fishing and let properties.
Invercauld Estate is a working business employing 26 people. The main enterprises are sporting (grouse shooting, deer stalking and salmon fishing), forestry and rangers, house staff, maintenance department and Estate office. Many farms, shops and other local businesses operate on the Estate. The Estate was very proud to be re-accredited for Investors in People in June 2005. One of the primary business aims of the Estate is to provide employment and housing for local people.
